Where's the ice?

It's February. It's Canada. There should be ice.

But this is what Collins Bay looks like today:

And here's the same place last week.

This is the most ice we've seen all winter. In most years, the St. Lawrence River freezes clear across the 4.5 km gap to Wolfe Island. Collins Bay is usually solid for at least three months. There's enough open water now that you could easily go sailing. In Canada. In February.
