The black one is my parents' Briard, "Raven". The white one, a Great Pyrenees named "Constance", just moved in with my mother- and father-in-law, courtesy of the Great Pyrenees Club of Southern Ontario.
Getting these two in one photograph is a behavioural and technical challenge. It's not in the nature of either breed to stand still and pose when there's running and sniffing to be done. Raven, at least, is getting a bit easier to photograph now that he has a few gray hairs; for most of his life he's been flat black, so getting decent contrast requires a careful combination of ambient and flash light.

White dog and black dog
Interesting sets of pictures you had on this page. Really contrasting colors for these two dogs : pure white and pure black. They seem to go together.
